SPLASH! Your chance to save children’s lives

Active Family Fun Day

Splash out on Sunday 18 October at the Tweed Regional Aquatic Centre in Murwillumbah when the centre hosts an Active Family Fun Day from 11am until 2pm.

Active Family Fun Days are an initiative of Royal Life Saving Society - Australia designed to encourage healthy, active, fun participation for families and children in an aquatic environment. Mums and dads can get into the water with their children and practice water safety techniques in a fun and safe environment.

The Active Family Fun Day will be held in conjunction with the UNCLE TOBYS Big Splash Swimathon to help raise funds for the Royal Life Saving Society - Australia to reduce child drowning.

Child drowning is still the leading cause of accidental death in children in Australia, with 50 children aged 0-15 drowning in the past year. Teaching children swimming and water safety skills can help protect young lives now and into their future.

UNCLE TOBYS is proudly working together with the Royal Life Saving Society - Australia to help make a difference and change these statistics.

Olympic Bronze Medalist and UNCLE TOBYS Ambassador Cate Campbell will be there on the day to make her Big Splash and will compete in a Big Splash Relay against Paul Matthews, professional triathlete and the Indonesian Development Swim Team who are preparing for the South East Asia Games in Laos.

"The UNCLE TOBYS Big Splash Swimathon is a chance for all of us to support a great cause while being healthy and having fun. We want to reduce child drowning to zero in Australia. To help, join us in making a Big Splash this weekend at Tweed Regional Aquatic Centre" said Cate Campbell, UNCLE TOBYS Ambassador.

With the generous support of the Sony Foundation Australia, children who participate in the activities are given the chance to win great prizes including a PlayStation2.

Entry to the Tweed Regional Aquatic Centre for the Active Family Fun Day and UNCLE TOBYS Big Splash Swimathon is free.
