Nominations for the 2010 NSW Water Safety Awards Now Open!

The 2010 NSW Water Safety Awards recognise individuals and organisations that have assisted to improve water safety or have helped reduce drowning and water related injuries in their community within NSW.

Royal Life Saving NSW can assist individuals or organisations with joint nominations and written references for initiatives that have utilised or implemented Royal Life Saving programs and services in 2009/2010.

Categories for the 2010 awards are:

•  Community Education Program of the Year  (396KB)
•  The Ministers Award for the Most Significant Contribution to Water Safety - By an Individual (420KB)
•  The Ministers Award for the Most Significant Contribution to Water Safety - By an Organisation (418KB)
•  Most Significant Contribution to Water Safety with a Focus on an Under-Represented Group (418KB)
•  Outstanding Media Service to Water Safety (418KB)
•  Rescue of the Year (419KB)
•  Research Project of the Year (419KB)
•  Volunteer Lifesaver or Professional Lifeguard of the Year (421KB)
•  Water Safety Event of the Year (418KB)

AUSTSWIM NSW Awards of Excellence recognise brilliance, commitment and innovation in the teaching of swimming and water safety, covering such aspects as teaching effectiveness and contribution to developing other teachers and training.
