Global Drowning Fund
The tragic extent of child drowning in Asia has only recently been uncovered. It is believed that more than 200,000 children will drown in Asia every year in countries with very few resources or skills in drowning prevention. In response to this devastating burden, Royal Life Saving Society – Australia established the Global Drowning Fund.
The Global Drowning Fund is raising awareness and funds to urgently reduce this toll, while increasing local skills and capacity, providing research and building partnerships to further prevent this regional epidemic.
Established drowning prevention and water safety initiatives established include:
- Creche Programs
- Swim Safe Program
- World Conference on Drowning Prevention
Your donation is desperately needed to help make a difference.
