OFFICIALS ALLOCATIONS

All officials who register and have a current Working With Children Check (or equivalent from home State or Territory) will be allocated a role at the Championships.
Officials will be appointed based on availability and role preferences provided at registration, and confirmed at the Officials Meeting (all Officials should anticipate that they will be allocated a role based on the information provided at registration).

3 Day Event Accreditation Pass, food and refreshments during the competition, an
officials shirt if required (N.B: Same officials shirt as 2023, 2024 and 2025)
Optional Officials Function on Friday 26 June (the function is free but RSVP required)

OFFICIALS WORKSHOPS

RLSSA will be hosting two Officials’ Workshops prior to APLSC.

  • Technical Officials’ (Level 2) Workshop (Wednesday 24th June)
  • SERC Officials - Date and Time TBA

Both workshops are FREE but registration is required. You can register for the workshops here. Location, times and outline will be sent out to participants once logistics have been confirmed.

OFFICIALS FUNCTION

All Officials are invited to join us at the APLSC 2026 Officials Function to celebrate the hard work and dedication of volunteers that make the APLSC possible. The Officials Function is free for all officials to attend but RSVP is required. Please RSVP for the Officials Function when registering.

The Officials Function is free for all officials and will include a meal and one drink on arrival. Additional drinks will be at own cost.

The function includes a short presentation and officials will receive their APLSC pin.

WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECKS

All appointed Officials at the Australian Pool Lifesaving Championships are required to have a current Working With Children Check (WWCC) or State/Territory equivalent to participate. Working With Children Checks are usually free or low-cost for volunteers, and can be obtained from the following government service providers:

Australian Capital Territory: ACT Working With Vulnerable People Registration
New South Wales: NSW Working With Children Check
Northern Territory: NT Ochre Card
Queensland: QLD Blue Card
South Australia: SA Working With Children Check
Tasmania: TAS Working With Vulnerable People Registration
Victoria: VIC Working With Children Check
Western Australia: WA Working With Children Check

Officials are asked to provide an application, registration or clearance number at registration. If Officials are unable to provide this information at registration, you will need to obtain a Check prior to participating in the Championships. RLSSA will verify all Checks prior to the commencement of the Championships.

OFFICIALS UNIFORM (if required)

Footwear: In the interest of health and safety, all officials will be asked to wear supportive, non-slip, closed toed footwear.

Bottoms: Navy or white (whenever possible)

Tops (Shirts): APLSC 2026 Officials Shirts will be the same as those used in 2023, 2024 and 2025. Please indicate if you need a shirt when registering.
