You don’t have to work at a pool or be a professional lifeguard to be a lifesaver. In fact, at Royal Life Saving Society – Australia, we believe that ‘Everyone can be a Lifesaver’.
At any time during your life, whether as a parent, grandparent, brother, sister, son or daughter, you could be called upon to save the life of a close family member or friend or administer first aid after an accident or during an illness. You will also have a duty of care to prevent accidents from occurring to anyone within your care.
For over 100 years, the Bronze Medallion award has been the benchmark for lifesavers all over the world. The ‘Bronze’ builds knowledge and skills in rescue, personal survival and emergency care and is awarded in recognition of the ability to perform aquatic rescues in a safe and efficient manner.
It is the perfect all-round course for anyone wanting or needing lifesaving skills.
The Royal Life Saving Grey Medallion is a water safety and lifesaving program specifically designed for people over 55.
The Grey Medallion course will give you the confidence to actively participate in aquatic activities, equip you with vital lifesaving skills and encourage you to lead a healthy, independent and active lifestyle.
