Royal Life Saving ACT - Project Officer

Royal Life Saving ACT is currently seeking an enthusiastic and effective team member to fill the role of Project Officer at our Deakin-based office. This position is offered as a 1 year contract with the potential opportunity to renew. Commitment is part-time, 15hrs per week, starting October 2018. The annual salary is $18,200.00 plus super

-Year 12 Certificate;
-Previous experience in a similar position (experience in grant/sponsorship application and project implementation favoured);

-Current Royal Life Saving Society Australia and/or AUSTSWIM qualifications (desirable)

  • Current CPR, First Aid, Bronze Medallion and WWVP registration required
  • Current Life Guard certification and license desired
  • Previous Life Guard experience required
  • Swim Australia Teacher, AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety, or equivalent desired
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Strong communication and customer service skills

Royal Life Saving ACT – Casual Swimming and Water Safety Program Leaders

Location: All regions, Canberra.
Start Date: 2018

Royal Life Saving ACT wishes to fill several Swimming and Water Safety Program Leader positions. We seek active, positive and reliable individuals to join our team and help us to provide ACT school students with vital water safety skills and knowledge.

Successful applicants will need to be available for various weekly shifts (minimum of 3 shifts per week preferred) between the hours of 9am and 3pm, Monday to Friday during school terms.

If you possess:

  • A natural passion for aquatic recreation
  • Experience in the provision of structured childhood programs
  • Excellent communication skills that allow you to converse politely and effectively on all levels
  • The ability to work as part of a dynamic team
  • A current AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety (or equivalent)
  • A current RLSSA Bronze Medallion Award
  • A current First Aid Certificate
  • A current Working With Vulnerable People card (or ability to obtain)
