Royal Life Saving Australia extends heartfelt condolences to all those affected by the horrific terrorist attack targeting the Jewish community at Bondi Beach last night.

Our thoughts are with the families, friends and community members grieving unimaginable loss and trauma.

We know that this evil is countered by a massive outpouring of love and deep care for those affected, reinforcing everything that makes our community strong.​

Royal Life Saving acknowledges NSW Police, paramedics, hospital staff and all emergency services for their rapid and tireless efforts to protect and save lives.

We pay tribute to the extraordinary bravery, care and lifesaving actions of community members on the scene, including Waverley Council lifeguards and members of North Bondi Surf Life Saving Club.

The capacity of so many in the Australian community to act in the face of danger, initiating lifesaving actions and providing emergency first aid, is extraordinary.

The selfless courage of so many, reflects the best of our community’s spirit, leadership and humanitarian values.​

In the days and weeks ahead, it is the strength, courage and compassion of the Australian community that will guide us through grief and towards healing.
