Royal Life Saving Australia is pleased to offer a student or young person the opportunity to attend Safety 2022 - 14^th World Conference on Injury Prevention and Safety Conference, being held 27^th – 30^th November in Adelaide.

If you are currently studying or working in the drowning prevention and water safety field (within Australia) and have an interest in learning more about global drowning and other injury prevention research and initiatives, and meeting researchers, policy makers and practitioners from around the world, then this is for you!

About Safety2022

Hosted by the Public Health Association of Australia and co-Sponsored by the World Health Organization, and other key national and international organisations, Safety 2022 aims to bring together the global injury prevention community to showcase the important research, work and advocacy in injury prevention and safety promotion. Royal Life Saving Australia is pleased to be the key supporter of the drowning prevention program of Safety2022, with drowning streams happening on Monday 28^th and Tuesday 29^th November, and a drowning prevention workshop being hosted by RLSSA CEO, Justin Scarr on Wednesday 30^th November. There are several student focused sessions throughout the program.

Criteria

• You must be studying a health or education-related discipline or working within a drowning, water safety or injury prevention related field.
• This is open to current full-time students and/or those working in the drowning and water safety sector, aged 30 years and under.
• You will need to be available to travel and attend the conference for its entirety from Sunday 27^th November to Wednesday 30^th November.
• You will be expected to provide a short report or presentation after attending the conference.

Inclusions

• Full registration to attend all three days of Safety2022, including the Welcome Function on Sunday 27^th and the Conference Dinner on Tuesday 29^th November
• 3 nights’ accommodation (Sunday 27^th, Monday 28^th, Tuesday 29^th)
• Contribution to travel expenses
