Take the National Aquatic Industry Profile Survey

Published 27 May 2022

Aquatic facility infrastructure and workforce needs are often talked about – but what do YOU need?

If you an aquatic facility manager, or responsible for the planning and delivery of aquatics for a local government area, we need 10 minutes of your time to better map and respond to the needs of your facility.

The National Aquatic Industry Committee (NAIC) and Royal Life Saving Society – Australia have launched a brief survey to document the facility infrastructure and workforce needs of the aquatic industry.

In particular, the survey seeks to highlight the impacts of the pre- and post-pandemic aquatic industry workforce as well as the impact of aging aquatic infrastructure.

The survey is intended to be completed by the manager, or a suitable representative, for each facility who will be able to describe the unique features of the facility as well as speak to key data reference points such as the number of staff employed at the facility.

The information within the survey will be analysed by the Royal Life Saving research and advocacy teams to identify trends, strengths and weaknesses, needs, and future opportunities. The data will be used to generate a roadmap for aquatic advocacy.

The survey is anonymous but participants who choose to leave their name and email address will be eligible to win a $50 Coles Myer gift voucher.

Your responses will be separated from the prize entry so your answers will remain anonymous.

The survey will only take 10-15 minutes to complete.

The survey closes midnight Sunday 3 June 2022.

Background

As a part of an ongoing commitment to advocating the health, social and economic benefits of the national aquatic industry, we are looking to understand and analyse at a high level the state of the aquatic industry's infrastructure and workforce needs in 2022 and beyond.

Royal Life Saving and the National Aquatic Industry Committee are using this data only for the purposes of an advocacy report highlighting the state of aquatic industry infrastructure and are able to provide non-disclosure documents if requested.

Please note, all information gathered will remain anonymous and will be grouped for reporting – therefore, your centre/organisation will not be identified.

It would be much appreciated if this survey could be completed by 3 June 2022
